Borrowing loo roll implies to me that once finished with it, you washed and returned it
When I first started working for the Civil Service, the bog roll provided at work was the horrible scratch-your-butt-to-shreds hard stuff; and it had "Government Property" printed in green on every sheet! :D The general assumption was they wanted it back once we'd finished with it..... probably something to do with the red tape and !!!! dealt out by Government departments.

Lamewolf, that was the same type of toilet paper that the maternity wards provided when I had my daughter!

I had my mum bring in a roll from home! :rotfl:

With regards BB dates, I never heed them and I'm fine... ish :p

  • This cupboard hoarders thing is clearly genetic.
I was clearing out my grandparents' kitchen cupboards in 1999 and found a packeted lemon pudding that was obviously so old it was from before the days when they had to put use-by dates on everything. However it did have a special offer on it which expired June '79! It Erm, I still have it, though more for historical than nutritional reasons!
More recently I was clearing my parents' kitchen cupboards and found baking stuff (food colouring, essences etc) dating from the 1980s. My sister wouldn't let me throw it away because if was part of our family history! The tropical climate where they live and the small beasties that thrive there render most consumables (e.g. tea, pasta, biscuits) unusable within weeks unless hermetically sealed in glass/metal containers. We are lucky here in this respect!
My own dithering led me to wait nearly 10 years before making up a falafel mix that lurked at the back of my own kitchen cupboard (and which had moved house with us 3 times). It was delicious!
