Unused mortgage applications damaging my credit file.

Hi everyone

So the short story is for various reasons I have had 3 failed house purchases in six months so subsequently 3 cancelled mortgages.
I understand that the mortgages would affect my credit rating but it has dropped by 25% and yes I applied for the credit but I havent actually used it.
Is there anyway I can recover my credit history as at the level it is now I am worried it will begin to affect tge rates or my eligibilty when applying for future products.

Many thanks

  • Your credit history simply shows your history.

The credit score is a made up number that you can ignore.

You're not making needless searches, so there's nothing you need to change.
  • I wouldn’t worry about it. In another 6 months they won’t found for anything and in a year they’re off your file. The effect is temporary.
