Hi there, I have had a phone line with talk talk for about 4 years, I was paying £30 a month every month without fail. (This number has been written on my husbands van, car, advertising signs, business cards etc) A few months ago I asked a company to take over the number to use it as a virtual number that diverts straight to my husbands mobile. All was fine until they tried to port the number (hand it to new provider) talk talk didn’t do their job properly their end and lost my number
where do I stand? I have asked for compensation to cover the costs of sign writing on vehicles and uniform etc but management still havnt rang back after promising to many times

Basic problem is that you don't own the number . TT will probably only give a small compo payment circa £50.0

And you were I suspect using a residential contract to run a business...
Your chance of getting consequential losses refunded is precisely zero.No free lunch, and no free laptop
