Paperwork Destroyed - car finance ppi 2005

Hello,
I have written to fords as they mis sold me ppi in april 2005 (i have the questionnaire i had to fill in to prove i didnt need it) but they have written back saying they have destroyed the paperwork a long time ago.
They have asked the finance company if they hold any information but if they do not, is this the end of the road for this one does anyone know? thanks

You could ask the finance company yourself or send a DSAR if you have the account number for a search of their archives, costs £10.0
