Was meant to be going to Costco today but the car broke last week and is going into the garage tomorrow so not much point squeezing the kids in the little car where we can't actually fit any shopping to speak of. So it was a quick trip to Lidl to grab the things we desperately needed this week. Will try again for Costco next weekend when fingers crossed the car is all better. So just £12.36 to add on.

Afternoon All
I!!!8217;ve got 3 spends to declare for this week:-
DH went to the farm shop, bought a dozen eggs, carrots, potatoes, broccoli and purple sprouting broccoli (he knows I love the latter), spending £8.70 in the process.
-
Yesterday, we dropped into MrT!!!8217;s at lunchtime, buying yoghurts (32), YS cheddar (£1.46) and a YS packet of 6 mini pork pies (£1.20), for a total of £4.66. (The pork pies turned into our lunch-on-the-run.).
-
Today, we collected the Sunday paper and a packet of Value eggs, spending £1.25 in the process. (We subscribe to the paper, so get a weekly voucher to !!!8220;pay!!!8221; for it. It doesn!!!8217;t count in the GC challenge.)
Anyway, the above brings our total spend for February to £22.34/£50 leaving a balance of £27.66 for the rest of the month.

I am extremely lucky to be able to order from any of the big names to be delivered, including Waitrose if wanted.. (I like to pop in and grab the ys sushi from time to time)
Sadly my autoimmune conditions have flared up badly and kicked my butt this month, the will/want is kind of there it's just the body is not..
I have taken your advice (the same that I would give to others struggling) and done an online shop to be delivered tomorrow..
Thank you for giving me a gentle shove in the right direction, it was much needed and I have also stopped mentally nagging at myself so feel less uptight about it! :A
Oh thank goodness, you’re very welcome! I’m glad you were able to cut yourself some slack and get it done. It’s so funny how we sometimes need “permission” from others to treat ourselves properly. Happy the nudge helped a bit. Cheers to you.
Today, just one item bought. I meant to go out earlier this evening to get some bits for soup and other things. OH easily convinced me to stay home when the combination rain-snow started.
I am still slightly off my cooking mojo but thankfully remembered that I froze a meat lasagna a few weeks ago just for an instance like this. That’s cooking in the oven right now and I have a ham stock going in the Instant Pot which will be the base of ham and cauliflower soup tomorrow.
€4.85 - at the Asian supermarket for sesame oil.

First spends of the month - 60p on some rolls, and a couple of things that come out of the bulk fund, some toilet rolls & coffee, which came to £6.85. I really need to get myself back to Farm Foods. I bought toilet rolls there for £10 - 3 x 18. They lasted forever and were amazing quality. Wanting to get a few more bits tomorrow, but nothing major, as I really am trying to mostly use up stocks. Oh yes, and I bought some alcohol - £2.85. Have updated sig.0 -

Hi all, treat spends of £5.75 on 6 Kr!spy Kreme doughnuts.
I was tempted by the buy 12 get 12 original glazed free, but with their only being 5 of us thought it was a tad extravagant.
Ended up finding out i had 3 other offers on the app, bogof, save £1 of a box of 3 and a complementary free one, so asked if I could do 3 seperate orders but turns out I could do them all on 1 transaction. 3 of the doughnuts were £2.10 each and the other 3 were £1.65 each so good value.Grocery Challenge 2024

So £18.98 to add to total
Done.
I now have to add £4.70 to my sig. I bought loo roll (on the last one and by the time i got out of work, all the other shops are shut), YS bread, doughnuts and two pot noodles for a quick dinner (particularly for when at placement). I slipped up with the pot noodles as i thought they were still on offer for a £1, but this particular flavour had come off offer; so were a shocking £1.69 each  I would normally never pay this much.
Off to add to sig ...GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £123.74/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
