Pulling out of a PPI claim while a company is acting for you

Hello all,

I got a letter from my Bank saying that (Gladstone) had been in touch, but the company couldnt produce a signed letter saying they were acting for me. The bank have hinted that i sack Gladstone and speak with them directly.

Most likely because Gladstone kept losing the signed go ahead in the post. 5 times may i add?

I contacted Gladstone who do reckon they have it ( so why did my bank say they havent )
I told them to Cancel the investigation and to forget it. ( it started in october 17). They say there may be a charge for it.

what might it be? 100 quid? more?
anyone had this type of experience please? thank you!
