HP Envy 5644 paper size

Hope someone can help. My printer seems stuck on 4”x6” when copying or printing from the iPad.

I’ve been through all the settings and options on the touch screen with no luck. The only options for paper sizes are plain paper 4x6 or photo paper.

Ironically, it will print from the MacBook.

Silly question, have you run out of A4 paper, hence printer not selecting that tray? I am assuming you have different paper tray sizes.

Thanks for reply, but it is a silly question. Plenty of paper in the A4 tray.

If its only the iPad then the issue is with the settings on that, use different software/app to print your picture/document.

is plain paper, 4x6 separate or one size plain paper? an odd size for plain paper. 4x6 is usually photo size.

Got it sorted. Going to settings and selecting paper size would only work if the tray had been removed and just replaced. Had to be quick otherwise it defaulted to 4x6!

It was copying as well as printing from the iPad, so we knew it wasn’t the iPad settings. The printer setting only showed A4 as option when tray had just been reinserted.
