What happens to working tax credits when you retire?

I've searched a fair bit for an answer to this, but can't find it.

My mother is approaching retirement in March (at the age of 64) and currently works 20 hrs a week. She currently receives working tax credits, and renews some time around June.

Will the tax credit payments end either:

In march (at retirement age)

In June (at renewal)

In June 2019 (Because what you are paid is based on the previous years earnings)

She is also undecided about staying on at work past her retirement age, how will this affect things?

The WTC will continue as long as she continues to work the required number of hours.

How much she will get will depend on how much her state pension is. The first £100 is disregarded. It really depends on her overrall income, but income of itself won't end tax credits although it might reduce to Nil.

She will need to tell HMRC her estimated 2018-19 income as soon as possible after 6 April so that she doesn't incur any overpayment if the rise in income is significant.
