I am looking for some advice on stocks and shares junior isas.
I have two children (6 & 8) They each have a yearly Regular saver account which on maturity feeds into a JISA (cash). I now want to start a S&S JISA to invest some of the lump sum.
Can anyone recommend a S&S JISA provider. I am of the opinion they are all similar and allow access to the same investment funds so i believe a recognised provider with low charges?
In addition to this I would be interest if anyone can recommend a site which shows the performance of investment funds that I can choose to investment in through the S&S JISA. I would rather invest in managed funds rather than choose specific shares which is the high risk option.

You need to decide on your funds, how often you plan to invest, and then look at which platform is the best. The funds you choose will be influenced by the investment objective, for example, is it to provide them with money towards a deposit on a house, or to cover living expenses at university etc? Once you have some answers to these questions then you will be in a better position to assess which platforms are best.
In the meantime, you could have a look at the platform comparison table on Monevator http://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers0 -
My two are with Cavendish 0.25% and no dealing fees but there may be cheaper platforms.0

One of the funds I do want to invest in is
AXA Framlington Global Technology fund
I'll start with a lump sum of £1000 and maybe monthly of £50 for each of my two children so that I can take advantage of pound cost averaging. The investment will be 10 years plus and ideally for a house deposit in the future although it could be used if they decide to go on to Uni. Personally I don't think Uni is currently value for money and would encourage an apprenticeship. Another topic for another day.
I have just checked SS JISA with Hargreaves Lansdown and the AXA Framlington Global Technology fund is not available as an option. However Cavendish do list this fund as an option so with its low charges Cavendish is looking favourite at the moment.
I am trying to find a site that allows me to select my investment funds and then lists which platforms the investment can be selected through.
Thanks for the advice.:T0 -
I have got a Jisa with Alliance Trust for my little one and happy with it. Good fund choices, fee of £3.3per month and a charge of 9.99 to buy a fund and I think £1.5 for monthly investment. I only contribute once a year and have the account since 2015.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0

Hello
I'm also looking for a Junior ISA provider but the ones I've found online only seem to allow a limited universe of investment options - e.g. funds.
I'm looking for a provider that will allow us to invest in individual equities including international shares (e.g. on NYSE, Nasdaq and FTSE exchanges).
Can anyone make any recommendations?0
