Speed Awareness Course date

Hi,

I received a fine and decided to attend a speed awareness course. I work mon-fri and I saw that there is a course on a Saturday in February but it's after the 28 days that I have to decide what to do (course or fine and points).

Do I need to attend the course before the 28 days deadline or i can book and attend it after the deadline?

Thank you all

No. If you're offered a SAC then you need to return the offer letter choosing to opt for the SAC. You then have a further few months (about 3) in which to book and complete the course ... if you don't then the offer is withdrawn and you may even have the fine and points offer withdrawn - you don't want that as that means a court hearing.

Fill in the form, opt for the SAC, send it back (tracked/signed for I'd suggest - doesn't cost much and gives peace of mind for situations where a real fine applies) then take steps to book the course. In fact - properly read the offer letter ... it might say that booking the course will act as notification that you've selected that option.

tl;dr ... you don't need to take the course within 28 days; just advise the force in question that you intend to take the course rather than fine and points.

On the form they sent to me there are the options but it didn't mention to send it back
