Room for a night near paddington station

Options
Hi all

Wasn't sure where best to post this ..

I need to stay somewhere relatively nearby to London Paddington in early Feb , just one night at a weekend

I don't know London well so I wondered if anyone here had any recommendations on where to book or where to avoid ?

Cheers

There are still a lot of "contractor" hotels in the area which are pretty grim.

  • There are several Shaftesbury Hotels in the area which sometimes have offers.

As others have said, airbnb probably best option. Depends what the budget is.
My company is in paddington, and they tend to use the "Thistle Kensington" (about 10-15 minute walk from Paddington station) but that'll be 90-100 GBP.

What's your budget? The Novotel at the station, and the Mercure on Pread street are both very close, and comfortable, but both will be £100+ for the night.
