Well, I’m on the ground floor. It’s a Victorian leasehold
Just be careful - any work undertaken by the LL will be passed straight back onto you and the other tennants, divided pro rata. Not usually a problem but what can happen in real life is that the LL will pick a mate with inflated prices to do the work, charge the tenants and split any excess profit between them.

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
  • Thanks for that . I’ll do nothing for now . It seems all good for the moment . I would probably best get somebody other than the managing agents to sort it for the reason you have pointed out.
  • I have a load of stuff under the bed . A friend of mine said I shouldn’t do that because of similar issues with the walls( ie giving every area a space to breathe). I haven’t any storage facilities in the bed..just stuff chucked under there as there’s nowhere else o put it.

Is it an idea just to buy a new bed with storage and ditch this one ?

I always put a notice in my rentals saying not to put furniture on exterior walls. That always seems to cause black spots in any property.
  • Shouldnt be a problem if you leave a gap have wall insulation or low humidity. Most people have furniture on outside walls not everyone gets problems

Had a major intermittent dry coughing bout last night while in bed.
The flat seems fine except the kitchen where there is mold under kitchen sink area. I have a builder coming to sort that out next week.

I cannot see any other mold around . I am wondering though , if I have made a mistake buying this flat ? If I am coughing etc .
There is a draft coming in from the window in living room. Then again I live in poole so have to expect cold . Like the flat otherwise..
Then again , I!!!8217;m probably being over dramatic and am getting a cold like so many others
