Refusing to accept delivery from courier

Hi
I get a regular order from muscle food every 8 weeks. My recent order was supposed to be delivered today by DPD. I checked my tracking info and it said there was a delay in deliveries in my area. I've just received a text from muscle food telling me my order was held up in transit and would now be delivered on Friday 19th. There's absolutely no way the meat will still be good after sitting in a warehouse for 3 days and I don't see the point of accepting the order just to put it in the bin.
So, if I refuse to accept delivery, will I be charged for a return? I emailed muscle food telling them I want a refund or an new order sent out but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Box keeps food fresh for up to 48 hours. Order by 7am on Monday for delivery by Wednesday. So delivered before 7am Wednesday? Perhaps that is meant to be order by 7pm.

Have you phoned them?
I've had issues in the past with them and damaged goods. They refunded the problem items without issue. The boxes are OK for 48hrs, any longer I'd be refusing. But CALL THEM FIRST.0 -
I had a look on their site in the contact us section but I can't find a phone number - it's just a email form. According to my tracking info the box was sent out at 9:30 last night (Tues) and is set to be delivered on Friday 6am and 10pm so even if it comes first thing Friday morning it'll be longer than 48 hours.0

In fact, the 0843 number is a premium rate "call connection service" scam. The call-forwarding number has been set up by a third-party and they make money from calls made to it.
The website promoting the fake 0843 number can be reported to ASA as being misleading.
