coal going cheap - well going anyway

We have 2 tonnes of anthracite grains, brought for our solid fuel boiler late last year, no longer needed - all clean and dry - we have posted on numerous facebook pages, and contacted all local coal dealers - any ideas seems a shame to dump it

Posting on local Facebook pages was going to be my first suggestion. If you're getting no luck there, how about Gumtree or Freecycle ?

I'd love to take 2 tonnes of coal off your hands, but it is difficult without knowing what area you live in (and also not having suitable transport).

Is this coal loose or bagged ?

  • We are in Essex, and 1 tonne is bagged the other tonne is loose in concrete coal bunkers, we could get rubble sacks and help bag it up.

Freecycle would be my choice.... if FreeBear isn't local to you ;)

Buy a cast iron chimnea or ouside heater that can burn coal and enjoy it in the garden.
