Chasing to PAY something I ordered

Hi all.
I purchased 800£ worth of product from Mothercare in October. I have since chased 5 times and have escalated through management. They still won't take my payment because of 'technical issues.
I keep getting advised that they will call me back and they never do. It seems they do not care.
I wanted to try and understand where I stand in this situation. Originally I paid via PayPal. PayPal withheld the money for my account my Mothercare never completed on the request and as such the money went back into my account.
I am getting bored of chasing them but I want to try and understand better on my consumer rights. I don't want to make sure I always have this money available for the foreseeable future and then be called upon one day when best suits them !
Can anyone help?

In your shoes I wouldn't chase them any more. It's their responsibility to get payment for goods sold.
Put the money in premium bonds, then forget about it until they come knocking. You never know, it might win you a prize in the meantime.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -

Why have you a) resurrected a two year old thread and b) resurrected a Mothercare thread of all things when the company has gone into administration and closed all its stores as of Sunday just gone?0
