Dual SIM mobile phone - adapting to also take SD card?

Hi
I have a mobile phone with Dual SIM card slot. It can take one micro and one nano SIM.
I've watched some You Tube videos which say you can "adapt" your SIM card, effectively heating up the plastic covering to leave just the gold SIM part. Then sticking that gold SIM part to the back of an SD card.
The idea is that you then get the benefit of two live SIM card slots plus being able to also use an SD card (as there isn't a third separately slot for SD card).
Does anyone know if this would work - there seem to be several You Tube videos on the subject. I know I'd risk damaging the SIM card but I have other spares I can move the number to if this happens.
Are there any other risks? Should the phone be able to cope with reading all three - two SIM cards and a memory card? Again, You Tube videos suggest it's possible.
Many thx in advance.
Here is one of the links for example -just test, no video

If you get everything lined up perfectly, it will work. It's getting the lineup just right is the main problem.
As you have to glue the sim to the sd card if you have a to try a number of time you could damage the sd as you need to scrap off all the glue each time (or it's too thick to fit into the slot).0 -
You could just buy the X-Extender SIM card instead for a few bucks. Yes you can save a few bucks and line it up yourself. But thrifty isn't always worth the risk to your device.0

Thanks - I've never heard of an Extender SIM before - I will google it but pls can anyone help with how it works?
The SIM I have at the moment is with Giff Gaff.
Believe me if there's a way to avoid this messy task I'm happy to do it - I just wasn't aware there was one.
I'd like as high a capacity SD card as possible ideally 128GB for the phone or minimum 64GB. How does this work with an Extender SIM?0 -
There's a Youtube vid on how the Extender works (I'd never heard of it either!!)

It is a nice fix for getting 2xsims and the SD to work at the same time, but I'm a little unsure of having a sim outside the phone! You'd need a good case for it! And a lot of people refuse to have a case. . .0
