Help please with IHT question and property

    My worry would be that even if Dad can currently help buy the OP a house, the question has to be considered: for how long will Mum disabled and with dementia be able to remain at home, cared for by Dad with a dodgy heart and other problems?

    Because once either Mum or Dad need to pay for more help, or even residential care, then they may need this money for themselves.

    OP, how much equity in your property? You may be thinking "I'd never get another mortgage", but talking to a broker could surprise you.
