TruSteel MII framed wall

The survey on the 3 bed semi I am interested to buy has found the structure to be non- traditional. The surveyor thinks that the house is a'TruSteel' design built in the 1950's with a steel frame which is enclosed by a brick outer wall and concrete block inner wall. it also says - It is not possible to see the condition of the steel work in the walls without invasive procedures. The surveyor has recommended me to instruct an engineer who can use a boroscope to carry out further investigations as, if there were a problem with steel corrosion, repair costs would be high (Saw some old 2011-2012 bbc news links). I am now not sure if I would like to spend more money on a house, I am not sure we would want to buy. The Surveyor and Mortgage agent both said that the EA should have informed me. I have it in writing from EA (couple of weeks ago) confirming that the seller is not aware what type of wall it is. But I am sure they would have known it's a Trusteel wall. so my questions are: 1) Have you guys come across such Trusteel houses 2) Would I be able to recover any money that I have spent already (searches, survey) from the EA?

The difficulty is proving what was inside the EA's head, which is pretty much impossible. EAs rely on what sellers tell them.
And how much money would you like to throw at this claim, with such an uncertain outcome?

It's non-standard construction, but it's not one of the defective non-standard methods.

If the vendor is genuinely unaware (or simply lied), then the EA has no way of knowing - he can only rely on what the vendor tells him. No, you have no recompense. The surveyor has done his job.
The basic concept of a metal frame with infill is making a comeback - there's an estate going up near me which is similar construction, albeit not steel.0
