or it calls someone for approval. Last week I spent over £40 and was able to use £4 from gmtv website, today I spent £24 and was able to use £3.50. How does the self service till work it out? Quantity of tokens, value or percentage? Anyone know?
Thanks:beer:

I think the answer is we don't know!
I don't use the SS Tills but the !!!!!!s on here that do would seem to keep banging the coupons in until they need approval:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: , which they usually get. Would think if your happy with 20%-25% off per shop you should be ok.0 -
Every ss till in every store is programmed differently and can be changed on a daily basis, so what works for yesterday, may not work today. Where I live, the ss is programmed to question each and every coupon, so even if I spend £50 and used a 10p moc, the till would still ask for assistance/authorisation.0

I know one store in West Yorkshire I went to that would not let me use 2 of the same £1.00 coupons ( but I must admit I did NOT buy the product ), the supervisor explained I can use one coupon without actually purchasing the item. This was probably 8 or 9 months ago, so it may have changed now ( my local stores don't have self scan )Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I do not bother with the SS tills as they beep after the second coupon regardless of value. I find the SA's to be far more obliging if you pick them well! I save 50% as a rule, sometimes more!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

our cs say it's 50% of your shop in tesco, but depening on the mood their in they'll take 3 or 4 vouchers only, regardless of value.
they never take internet coupons thou...you need to ask your stores cs and even then, the policy will change every day!Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

My SS take internet coupons too, so I opt for these. Where do the rest of you get so many coupons (to cover 50% of shop)? I seem to save £2/3 each time, and have been impressed so far, but sounds like I could be saving much more. Any advice?0

Here are a few places:
eBay (make sure you buy non-store specific coupons not Tesco ones!)
Sampling promotions at Supermarkets (take lots of coupons, not just one... )
Free leaflets in your door with freebie paper
Free leaflets occasionally given out elsewhere (like the recent magazine week ones)
Newspapers & magazines (check the Daily paper thread & MBN's magazines thread which tell you where the coupons are, if a good profit then buy lots of copies)
swapping with other couponers on www.paidtoshop.co.uk (but become an active member first, the info & chat there is great if you like coupons)!
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have to add to this, most samples you request online, come with a money of vouchers, the nappies/drynites ones or the sanitary towels are the best at £1+ each. You can request a few of each.
Also places like pigsback have internet coupons (usually only about 40p).
Anywhere that does an online coupon usually have asomething to stop you printing more than one copy but, you should screen dump into paint, make it prety then into word so you can print a few copies, I'd only use one each shop but over a few weeks it adds up. (this has worked for the taut & aero bubbles for me recently)
there does seem to be a bit of a shortage of non internet coupons just now thou. xxDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

There are 20p off coupons on Branston beans at the moment in Tesco (and they only cost 24p to buy). Also worth checking out www.money-off-coupons.blogspot.com
