  • How are you working out you are owed £800? From what last claim? What do you mean by 'small token'?
  • hi the token there offering is £200 less tax,the £800 is from when i made a claim against them 5 yrs ago bk to 1993 which work out roughy to £800 on all the loans i had with them less interest.
    says
    refunded premium £120.80
    simple interest 8% £116.82
    gross £237.62
    tax deducted 20% £23.36
    net £214.26

really going back to 1993 lost count how many loans i had
  • What makes it a token? The redress method is defined - neither side gets to haggle.
  • i do understand ,but how does anyone really know so always worth a challenge and a phone call to ombudsman to check as they have my full paper work...
why i,m here ,as i have tried to claim on other banks, credit cards got no where in past this new rule does it apply to everyone or we should all reply or try a claims company again???

Your posts are making no sense. You mention a token payment, then a Plevin payment, then an amount for an old mis selling complaint.

If you were mis sold, you get a full refund.

If you weren't mis sold, you may get a commission refund under Plevin.

If neither apply but they feel sorry for you, you may get a token payment.

No claims company can helpfully with any of this and the Ombudsman doesn't have your paperwork.

The OP has had a Plevin refund and is referring to this as a "token" amount because it is not a full refund of the PPI. His PPI complaint was rejected both by the Bank and the Ombudsman in 2012

The ombudsman didn't uphold your complaint. You don't get another one. Plevin is the only pay out you'll get. Take it or leave it.
