How Much Can I Overpay?

Options
I have a mortgage with TSB and have about 28 years to go. My question is what is the percentage I can overpay per year without getting fined?

  • I'm no expert but I dont think there will be one answer - depends on the product. Ask the provider.
  • Exactly as Greta says. Phone them and ask or go through your mortgage agreement, that's where I saw mine. After asking, I checked my agreement.

Got to remember my bank didn't have a clue how to allocate an overpayment to main account and keep my payments the same

ps, usually 10% of mortgage balance as at 1st Jan of the current year.
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's
