Flex Direct a/c not showing any interest rate

Options
I'm pretty sure it used to (online). I have £2500 in there but my Flexclusive regular saver (also @ 5%) has just matured, so has it gone down to 1%?

Maturing Flexclusive RS does not necessarily coincide with drop in interest rate from 5% to 1% on FlexDirect.

I doubt the Flexdirect did show 5% interest rate, as it would be reliant on meeting monthly pay in conditions and balance:cool:
  • I've only ever seen it on the savings accounts.

    Never on the current accounts

When my flex direct was due to drop I got a letter telling me when it would happen so I dont think its related.

Maybe it doesn't show on the current accounts, thinking about it the only way I knew I was getting the 5% was the monthly interest so they probably don't show it on current accounts.

They do on their savings accounts though.

Look at the T&C. The Flex direct is promotional, so 5% for first year only. The linked regular saver a/c that you can get is also at 5% for the first year. So assuming you started the saver account shortly after opening your flexdirect then both interest rates will change in roughly the same time.

The FlexDirect will be on 1% if it's been open for more than a year. The issue date on your card will give you the month that the FlexDirect was opened. For an exact date you could check your statements on the internet bank, as there is an entry in there when the product is converted from another type of current account.

When the 5% Flex Regular Saver is matures, it is converted to the Flex Saver Issue 8. I have just checked my unused one in the app and it is currently paying 0.75%.
