What does 'best' mean to you? (For some it would be length of deal, others the minimum repayment level, or customer service, or availability of an app, etc, etc)
Chances are your question will be answered in the comprehensive MSE article on this subject at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-0-credit-cards0 -
Length of deal to be honest and probably customer service0
-
I was glad to be rid of my post office card - once the 0% deal finished of course!
Minimum payment was 2.5% of the outstanding balance whereas most of my others are 1%I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

HSBC have 0% for 32 months https://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/credit-cards/credit-card/balance-transfer-32-month0

Thanks for that
So would you advice against the Post office ? or go with Natwest?
Going to take a look ask the HSBC one now0 -
The HSBC one mentioned is a balance transfer, not a purchase card. It's usually a bad idea to spend on such cards. The HSBC card posted above only has 0% on purchases for 3 months.
If length of deal is important, I would go for one of the ones that guarantees the stated period if accepted - Sainsbury's and the Post Office are the top picks for this. Both minimum payments are north of 2% though.
What are Natwest offering? Just had a quick look on their website and couldn't find anything 0% on purchases.0 -
Sorry i got that wrong!
it was Halifax!0 -
Creation and Clydesdale/Yorkshire also have reasonable purchase deals on at the momentI have a deep burning indifference0
-
The Halifax is an 'up to' 30 months 0% deal - at least 51% of accepted applicants have to get this length, but it doesn't guarantee that you will. On the site it says that other customers may be offered 9 months at 0%. It's only a 1% minimum payment though, so more cash spare to earn interest on while the balance is interest free.
The minimum payments on Sainsbury's and Post Office are over double that, but they will give you the advertised 0% length if accepted.
Do you shop in Sainsbury's and have a Nectar card? The bonus points might make that a clear winner if you have £40+ spends in there to scoop the bonuses.0 -
No i don't really spend a lot in Sainsburys!
Thanks for the infomation really appreciate it!
Looks like the Post office maybe a winner!0
