Partner moving in with me while I live with parents

Options
Hi all, quick question for you all, I've looked online and did a few Google searches but can't find anything.

At the moment me and my fianc! are both self employed (different businesses) and both of us claim working tax credits (individual claims, not as a couple), and both officially live with each of our parents.

My fianc! is planning on giving up his business and going into full time work, and upon getting a job he will be officially moving in with me and paying my parents rent/board until we can save up enough to get our own place.

My question is would him officially living with me effect my claim, as technically he'd be a lodger in my parents home (Which they own out right, no mortgage or anything, and they don't claim any benefits either) even if he is my fianc! and we'd be sharing a bed etc?

Thanks

I would say yes. Regardless of who he’s paying rent to.

Who he pays rent to isn’t relevant. Your relationship status means you claim as a couple
