Does anyone have details of pay for all the Supermarkets doing nightwork or are they all the same and how much an hour do you get?

  • i think most of them are in the region of £5.50 - £6.50 per hour plus n/shift allowance of around 1/5 or 1/4.

    hope that helps.

  • Marks and spencers get 40% on top of the normal wage, which is over £6 p/h.

    Newton Abbot, Devon :)
  • Have done some research and realised that as all Asda stores pay the same night rate (£7.85), the person who gave me the information was misinformed. Sorry to have built people's hopes up but £7.85 ph doesn't seem too bad. :)

At Sainsburys its £5.70 per hour rising to £5.86 after 26 weeks with a night shift premium paid in addition which is £1.45 per hour. (7.15-7.31). This is provincial rating and may vary for London and more affluent areas that may pay a location pay as well.
