Installing simple key lock into Billy Bookcase

So I have ordered a number of IKEA Billy/Oxberg Bookcase with glass doors.
I'm going to be paying someone to put them up and was wondering about getting them to also install simple key locks to the doors. Or if the doors won't stand up to that, changing the handles for something I can put a carabiner on a combination lock through.
Does anyone know what kind of lock I could ask the installer to put in and if the door of IKEA bookcases can withstand making a key hole and putting a basic key mechanism in?
Thanks for any tips.

I'm looking online and seeing cam locks mentioned but not sure that works when you have two doors per bookcase as what would the cam groove into?0

There made from fibreboard and veneered so whatever you use to lock them isnt going to take much to force open if its a security measure.
If its to stop little hands from getting to the items inside you'd probably be better fitting some sort of child safety catch to them to prevent them being opened.0 -
Thanks Oli.s - we're aiming it more to be a simple deterrent for nosey fingers from lodgers rather than withstanding a sustained assault. Just books behind it, nothing valuable.
Thanks Warwick Hunt - with a camlock, would each door need its own camlock then, going into the top or side of the bookcase (i.e. near the hinges?)0 -
Hello! Do I need to buy a camlock for each door on a Billy Bookcase? It has two doors that open to the left and right...
Thanks.0 -
Although you're aiming to stop adults being nosy, I'd still second the idea of child safety locks. Kids can figure those out in a few minutes but adults probably take longer! You can get ones with magnetic 'keys' so they won't show and I think they tend to fix with short screws so should be fine on the Billy and won't leave much damage if you remove it later. If somebody was determined they'd get in, but just for random passing nosiness they'd be fine.0
