You also don't get the online monitoring for signs of fraud. Whether you think this is worth the money is up to you. My wife still pays but, for some reason, it has never gone up from the original £9.99.Willing2Learn wrote: »You don't get any alerts at all. That is why I check my CRA credit reports regularly, to check and confirm that all data is accurate and that searches and credit accounts are genuine.Shakin_Steve wrote: »You also don't get the online monitoring for signs of fraud. Whether you think this is worth the money is up to you.
I do that for free. No need for a fraud alert if you check your reports on a regularly basis... I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job

Remember your creditors will usually only send updates to CRA once a month anyway, unless they are TSB which may be once every six months or so :rotfl:, so a perceived daily or live each time you log in will have little real value (as each creditor will update on different days their may be some small value to those wanting instant updates).
Checking free services that update monthly rather than paid daily services does not, IMHO, have any detrimental effects. Fraud is fraud, whether you report it 1 day 1 month or 1 year after it appears on your report does not matter how often you get updates from your CRA as it will stay on their until fraud investigations are done.0
