Lots do.Surely if its 4 days before the end of term they could just call them in sick?
But don't do it from the airport so the school can clearly hear the tannoy announcements in the background
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
Yes and don't post daily updates on FB about what you're doing on holiday, like some numpty parent at our kids school did when her child was supposedly "off sick" :rotfl:jackieblack wrote: »Lots do.

No, I wasn't meaning the intention was to make money. They are using tax payers money to administer a scheme that makes a loss, which probably isn't a good use of funds.Gloomendoom wrote: »I don't think that making money from the fines is the intention. They are are intended a deterrent.
From what I read here and elsewhere, to be effective, the fines would need to be increased significantly.0 -

It’s a balance, isn’t it? If school were just preparation for work that would be terrible!
So not just preparation for work but for life.
Ironically when children are taken on term time holidays they are often sad to miss out on end of term activities like sports.
But that's not my main concern. I dislike the fact that children's own parents are teaching them poor attitudes like calling in sick when you're not.0
