    Presumably though it won’t have been on continuously, just enough to maintain the temperature. Maybe half the time ?

    Simple rule of thumb on energy saving & energy efficiency is that 1W used constantly for 1 year cost around £1 !!

    Makes it quite simple really ... that 5W slightly warm DC transformer that's plugged into the wall is costing ~£5/year and the 3W one ~£3/year ... :)

    I know that, that is what I told my ex and he said I was wrong.

    I just needed someone else to point out to my disbelieving ex that he was wrong and I was right.
