Hello
Just need a bit of perspective please.
Have sold 2 items to different people on ebay- collection only. Buyers didnt pay despite messages from me; took out a unpaid item case and both then paid. I've messaged them again to ask when they will collect and again no responses.
What do I do now?

Why on earth did you want them to pay PayPal for a collection item??
You have the money, so do nothing. They will get in touch to arrange collection.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

This is a real issue with collection only items, have a quick look at the sticky thread here:

How long ago did you message? It might be worth getting their contact details via the ebay system and phoning them as that often prompts some response. If not , and assuming this has gone on for a while, all you can do is send another message asking them whether they want you to cancel if collection is difficult, and assuming they don't respond after a suitable time period, cancel the sale using the reason 'problems with buyer address' and hope that ebay don't think you are dealing outside ebay.
Also , as per pinkshoes, if there is real money involved it might be worth trying to cancel anyway as you can show an email trail of trying to contact buyer. The last thing you want is an expensive collection only item being paid for by paypal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for the messages. I stated clearly cash on collection on the ads and in subsequent messages. This happens pretty often, which is tedious indeed.
Ebay have warned me about selling off site so I really don't want any hassle.
Still unsure what to do. The buyers have had several polite clear messages already. Irritating0 -
Oh and they aren't massive amounts but big enough to make a real difference to me0

Unfortunately you can't prevent people paying, particularly when you open a NPB.
Ultimately you have been paid by Paypal and if the buyer opens an INR you will lose.
But, you have the option of cancelling (as outlined above) or you can wait it out and see if they open INR (and then refund).0 -

Please read the sticky thread I posted - you cannot refuse paypal if buyer chooses that option and you need to be careful about any strong statements in your listings implying that only cash on collection is allowed. If you have a warning already the next step is a temporary suspension followed by a lifetime ban.
Collection only items are a real issue on ebay and as you have found out if buyers don't just turn up and pay in cash you are left with very limited options.
To get your FVFs back you will need to cancel the sale somehow and my suggestion above is a valid one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
