£5.29 for 50 any use - they wouldn't take up much more space than 10
But I'd need to find the space for 10 to start with
I can manage to just find space for 10 ... but 50 would take donkeys' years to get through ... probably throwing out 1-2/year as damaged or stained, that's 25 years' worth0 -
Spud + beans/cheese again today ... as I need to eat the spuds and the beans were opened yesterday ... it makes sense to go with that again.0

For sardine enthusiasts I read an article about it providing just as much polyunsaturated fatty acids (EPA and DHA) as salmon. (Metro, Money pages). But for the money-savers amongst you, salmon being £14/kg compared to sardines at £3/kg....especially if it's fresh sardines (gag)
Maybe if I bought some and disguised it in lots of hot sauce....?

It is basically a cloth napkin/serviette with a bit of iron-on velcro. That type of cloth napkin are 10 a penny in charity shops and the velcro equally as cheap for the quantity you can get. *walks off in a total daze*
I was wincing at the photo - an eco firm person having 3 children. Followed by thinking her business may not last that long if that's what she thinks is good publicity for an eco business...
The price ain't cheap that's for sure - but I've been scouting around various websites etc looking for something like it and nowt on either them or Amazon generally in that sort of size yet. Well I couldnt find it anyway.
There's loads of arts/crafts people around where I am in West Wales and some shops here now looking for goods like that to sell - so some will doubtless be made locally at some point. But meanwhile....and there is "method in my madness" - as I will have concrete examples of what I mean to show to said local craftspeople, followed by saying "Wouldn't it be nice if we produced some here?".
I'm not craft-minded enough to do anything along those lines myself. I'd got visions of trying to paint beeswax onto cloth and making an unholy mess of it - as my craft skills are totally non-existent.
I know my strengths and weaknesses - and doing craft stuff is definitely under the heading of "weaknesses" for me and I expect it counts as easy-peasy to anyone that can do it I know:). I'm happy enough with having what strengths I do have (which I find useful) compared to skills I can manage without and just pay someone else for them:). I struggle with just how many people can manage to be rather disorganised/not spot things that can be seen a mile off sometimes (as those are strengths of mine). I expect others would struggle with understanding I can barely sew a button onto something (because it's a weakness of mine).
I guess most of us have things we just do "just like that" and can't understand why others can't do it - and hopefully it balances out on the grand scheme of things. On that note - I'll go off and do some more "organising"....0 -

My husband bought some Nesc*fe and sugar for the person that came over at the weekend to fix our bathroom fan. I just had a cup of coffee with sugar and my God it tasted like the most wonderful thing ever.:rotfl:
I think I might have a cup now and then.:D
I'm the same with coffee, I never have sugar in tea or coffee at home, but sometimes when I'm out coffee just has to have sugar in it. I suspect this may be because a lot of bought out coffee is stronger than I make at home
Out and about mooching in the sunny & mild weather
Splashed the cash on tinned kippers and Tracklements piccalilli, which I noted is less per 100g than others, despite being £3.80 a jar. Pays to peer at shelf edges sometimes
A good YS was a 6 pack of W^alkers crisps at 30p, on their BBD.
This changed my planned lunch of sardines on toast into a crisp sandwich, followed by HM yogurt and honey, as a nod towards healthy eating
Dinner, thinking of my having chunky W/r cod fish fingers, with HM chips, the chips will be using up last of the now sprouting Christmas "mini roasting spuds". They may not be exactly chip shaped but CFO who cares?
Lild have loose bakers on offer now, just in time for me to top up tomorrowEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I dragged a whole pack of 6 crumpets from the freezer earlier, bought 30% off just before Xmas. Could've defrosted a few, but decided to just do the lot.
Already eaten/toasted one topped with chocolate spread
I'd also been "gifted" some pringles ... xmas turkey .... they've all gone now, wasn't impressed.0 -
It could be temperature wort, that is waking you. I do know that if I wake too early then it is because I am too warm and I am past THAT stage. I have started to look at the little temperature portion on my clock when I go to bed, last night it said 17.5 so I flung back the welsh wool blanket which is on top of my wool duvet, did this before I went to sleep. Sometimes I have my wool bedsocks on but they can make me feel too wrm too, so they are now reserved for very cool nights
I have been on a real roll today, doing more MK and so on and because I am busy, I don`t think of nibbling. I had the soup and pasta at lunchtime and followed it at 3 by 2 small pieces of peasant toast with a scrape of peanut butter. I am eating a little later tonight, 6 and it will be just a rm, turkey and bean made with veg such as leeks0 -
I loved the book I read today, I couldn't be bothered to stop for lunch so just had a piece of fruit, some raw cashew nuts and a packet of crisps while I was reading it.:p
I found a big Pyrex dish yesterday that I had forgotten about so I made a pasta bake with the rest of the wholemeal penne, tin of toms and lots of veggies. I just had a bowl and now have an easy lunch for the next couple of days.
I will probably just have a bowl of cereal and a yoghurt later this evening.0 -
Dinner in course of being prepared.
Deliberate leftovers being programmed in - ie enough for tomorrow as well - for once.
I felt rather weak yesterday and feeling rather weak again now - so am wondering if my immune system is fighting something off (fingers crossed it's just temporary blip).
So stirfry of spring onions, celery, tomatoes, yellow pepper, mushrooms and it will be served with rice/quinoa mix and I'm grilling up that last pack of cheese (as it's halloumi).
Had my "Vegan 100" cookbook here today (only just been published) and quick glance and "It does look (very) appealing". So shall be going through later having a look....0 -
A second crumpet with compulsory chocolate spread was consumed.
Toaster's really on its last legs now. I used the slot that descends/ascends... but I still have to turn the power off and poke the goodies out with a fork because it's simply jamming and not ascending.0
