I had fresh fruit and yoghurt and then crumpets. Green tea. I am having leftover spaghetti for lunch along with some veggie sticks with mayo.

It's a lovely day here but I am having a pyjama day as I have to wait in for deliveries and didn't see the point of getting dressed. :D

Nice & warm here as well, already been out and planted my new apple tree and the cherry is in blossom as well now, my rhubarb seems sluggish though, and grass is growing, any volunteers ;) ?

Ordered an Asda delivery for today, loads of slots now, no food parcel required thanks Brambling, but slightly suspicious because apart from order acknowledgement I haven't has an update regarding picked & packed, subs etc and it's due after two this afternoon, including a saucepan, maybe?

Lunch I've decided on fried egg sarnie [more eggs on the way]
Dinner, assuming Asda do the biz it's salmon fillet fried in EVO & butter, with salad and air fried LO boiled spuds
If Asda fail it's stab & ping summat

I hope your delivery turned up ok Farway my lovely neighbour mows my very small lawn when he mows his and I pass the occasional cake over the gate to him  :)

I think I have a small amount of liver in the freezer from the farm shop, but it's not labelled so could be kidneys it was added to the freezer audit as UFO 😳

JLS roasting fennel softens the favour and makes it sweeter

Another busy day unfortunately one of my senior colleagues can make a 3 hour task take all day for the whole team and we have to finish it up tomorrow as one by one people dropped off the meeting, I made it to 6.15pm before escaping.  Lunch was a grab and get back to work so was a nice and easy Greek yogurt and fruit with a  red grapefruit mid afternoon. This is a dummy go live for our long awaited system upgrade next month, it didn't go well 😬 I'm looking forward to a half day holiday tomorrow for a hair appointment 👏🥳

Dinner was the last of the LO chicken  ace into a quick chicken and veg risotto

  • Enjoy your hair appointment Brambling! I escaped a meeting at 5.45 this afternoon to go and have my eyebrows waxed, simple pleasures 😀

Lunch was the noodle salad and tea was salmon with pesto and green bean pasta, nice and easy after a long day...

    Good morning everyone,
Happy new hair and eyebrows Brambling and JKS. It will be a while yet before I get my locks tamed but thankfully it's gone past the annoying stage and ties back/up easily.
Up and organised early as the electrician is supposed to be coming out though I'm not convinced they'll appear.
Frosty but lovely and sunny here this morning.
The corned beef hash stuffed flatbreads were a success and very MSE as a little filling went a long way. I made three, had one with roasted tomatoes and spicy mayo, one I'll have for lunch and the other I'll either freeze or have tomorrow.
Spaghetti with a veg/tom sauce and IKEA meatballs for dinner tonight.

Asda delivery arrived yesterday as planned, all present & correct without subs, even the saucepan ordered blind looks good & solid enough
Only thing slightly wrong was the mushrooms, looked a bit past it so refunded all of my 54p, you can see they were a high quality item
Thus it was salmon last night

Out tending volunteer garden this morning, nice weather if a bit cold in she shadows
Lunch was pate & cucumber sarnie [one of the Asda purchases, fancied pate after someone mentioned it]
Dinner, also Asda purchase, it's roast in bag chicken with HM roasties, steamed broccoli, carrots, celery heart and Savoy cabbage

The chicken & salmon are part of a 3 for a tenner offer which I often buy now I'm online shopping & not mooching round, sad to say my ethics have taken a hit, chicken is not FR but is tasty

Goodness it's been a bit of a day! I was expecting one electrician to do an inspection to decide what needed to be done to properly fix the fault and if it would then be covered by my service agreement. Nope mid-morning the two guys who originally did the temporary fix, then the supervisor, then another two guys all arrived with lots of kit, cables etc. Several hours, lots of  confabbing, drilling and part of my deck lifted then re-laid it's all fixed and under the agreement so at no extra cost. No mess at the end either that quick hoover didn't fix. The guys were all lovely and determined it wasn't going to defeat. I couldn't have asked for better service and if it hadn't been covered it would have cost £1k+ to fix if the kitchen floor had to be lifted never mind replacing the floor. In the midst of it all I got a call to advise all the parts for my central heating are getting dropped off first thing tomorrow morning so another early start.  I think a loll on the sofa and a glass of red are on the cards this evening.

Sounds like you had a houseful/ garden full Caronc, at least it's now sorted ready for the next round of workers  :)

Farway I have brought salmon from Asda and it was  nice salmon and as you say good value

i feel considerably light of head tonight with a large amount of hair left on the hairdressers floor 😁 and the grey now hidden away again.  I had enough time once finished to pop to M&S for milk, fruit and a little bit of vegetable and a huge sweet potato for 45p  which I shall give half to my sister as it's too big for CFO at 700g. And opposite then is Fatface where I picked up a top for half price 🙂 so no need to venture into town at the weekend

lunch was some falafels in a pita with salad.  Dinner a haddock fillet from the freezer with new potatoes and green veg with a Chimichurri sauce over the fish

Bright & sunny with blue sky this morning, plus it's recycle bin & bottle day, I snuck my two jars into next door's box because it's not worth me putting one out for that meagre offering

Caron, that's a good job completed, hope the rest turns out to be as easy.

With the sun I may do some garden pottering, my grass needs a mow but not feeling up to it with my Beta blockers so I'll stick to pottering in the sunshine

Lunch today, I seem to have accumulated eggs so it's scrambled eggs on Marmite toast
Dinner, another of of the Asda salmon fillets, with salad, featuring the maiden voyage of my new saucepan with "baby" boiled potatoes
    Exciting day :D

I had fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast.

I went for a walk and then made "chicken" dippers with roasted asparagus and tomatoes and raw carrot sticks. It was delicious. It is sunny out but not particularly warm.
