So a great few mse days.
I've made an enormous list of things the kids can do to amuse themselves, and printed off a whole load of interesting colouring/mazes/puzzles/recipes/rock pooling/ball games/you name it! It's been great already.
I worked for a couple of hours this morning and today was a nsd as we didn't go to football class, but had a friend to play footie, then from my list we selected look at photo albums and play on the beach-we had new beach games printed off ready to try! Go me (for a change)! Didn't realise that a bit of planning here and spending more time with them would pay off so much.
Tomorrow nsd planned. I'm working, then both boys playing footie, then relaxing here before going to parents in law for tea. When everyone's relaxing I need to organise lunches for the week, do a grocery list, and generallly plan the week.
All these nsd s will add up, we are going in the right direction.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

It does sound good - playing with mum/dad is very simple, and free, and really important for them
good for you.

Thanks Karma and beanie.
So having my first cup of tea outside. A little post on here, followed by looking at my planner and exercise before heading off to work.
Yesterday wasn't a NSD as we needed bread and cheeseI really want to get more of a handle on how much we are eating and grocery shopping lists and planning.
ds2 helped out with his old football team yesterday and decided hed like to go back to play for them. I'm letting him make the decisions with this, but the work he has done on focusing on fun rather than winning seems to be paying off as he had a great time.
Had a meeting with OH and he wants to use the business marketing capabilities to turnover some money, which will probably be used to invest to make more of an income for us. Probably a buytolet. This means I still have to do marketing work on his business - my least fave job- but needs must.
It will create a trickle of income, with a small amount of work from OH and I - maybe 1 hour per day each. Atleast we have talked about it and have a plan.
In other news, paid £231 from saturday/sunday job. Again a trickle - but a welcome trickle! Banking total update will be the 27th.
To do today:
work on ohs business
exercise
weigh in

I'm glad you and DH are both feeling happier, even if it is big changes. Everything happens for a reason and I'm sure you'll make something work just as much as you have been so far.
We do a lot of free things and I use Twinkl for a lot of activities we do at home/on holiday.

Thanks for the encouragement! I have had an interesting week.
I have a finally had a diagnosis for something that's been bothering me, and I haven't really come to terms with it properly yet. Its not life shortening, but a bit life changing so I am just thinking it all through.
Positives:
A library near my work has a seed library, so we never need to buy seeds again - great idea! I've started by collecting lots of different types of lettuce as we go through so much of this. I'll drop off surplus seeds too.
I have planned a trip to London during our Oct break. Including flights, car parking, hotels, transport, most of the food when there and entertainment - including a show and also Leg0l@nd, its coming in at under £500. I'm really looking forward to this as I'd like to show the children some of the sites and experience a show. I could have done it a bit cheaper staying in not very nice hostels etc. but the 4* hotel at the airport was only £50/night and is walking distance to the tube into London.
I am considering cooking bacon or egg with the iron to make bacon or egg rolls in the hotel - has anyone else done this or is this mad? (you wrap it well in foil a couple of times so there is no chance of burning or breaking the iron. Wouldn't like to think that someone else's shirt smelt of bacon though?! Breakfast was £20/day, so I though I'd buy cereals etc instead, but bacon is quite tempting!
I'm visiting my mum and she has bought us a yearly Beamish pass which is great. We went today and had a great time. It's so much fun!!
I've been getting up early everyday to get things done.
The weather has been glorious (not at mums) great for the garden veg patch!
Opportunities:
Just about every area in health is an opportunity to improve this week. I have been sleeping well. But could be more hydrated, eat better and exercise more.
Some surveys done, more would be better.
A tutee cancelled, I have no regular clients really so I want to improve this. Its a slow time with exams mostly over up here. I could try to advertise more. I could keep my languages improving by listening to podcasts when driving.
I need to find another income source if I am not tutoring - I'll have more spare time to do it in.
Have done very little work on OHs business, must carve out time for this now.
Feel like, for various different reasons, I've been on my laptop a lot. Don't want the children to remember mum always on the laptop, so I need to unplug more.
So what can I do right now? 15 mins each on:
hydrate and eat better from now on
exercise
work on OHs business
do surveys
find a new income source - have a few ideas
download languages podcasts
advertise tutoring for free / do a social media post.
Plan laptop time so its not interfering with family time.
In 2 hours my life will be back on track...off I go!!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
