Wifes lack of NICs

Hello again, I posted this question previously on a different (wrong) board.
My wife's future pension entitlement is severely reduced due to lack of NICs. She has been a stay at home Mum and should have been credited with contributions via the child benefit, however we have discovered that our child allowance was paid to us in my name, not hers, so the NICs credit was never given.
My question is, can the historic benefits be transferred from my account to hers?
Any other information that may help us would be gratefully received.
Thank you in advance,
David
