Wife's lack of NICs

Hi, we recently discovered that my wife's Pension entitlement is going to be severely diminished due to lack of NICS contributions. As a stay at home Mum she should have been credited with these contributions, however because the child Benefit was paid to us in my name this was never done. My question is can these historic payments, or at least the NICs credits, be transferred from my account to hers?
Any other suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be welcome.
Thank you in advance,
David

Hope it works out for you but if it doesn't work out, there is always Pension Credit.0

They would be assessed as a couple - depending on the OP's pension, they might not be able to get anything means tested.
In which case they would be getting all they are entitled to and hence everything would work out as best it can. It would be a better situation to be in than to not know about and hence not apply for pension credit.0
