Anyone tried to contact Miele lately about breakdowns of their products?

Pretty much impossible to get through to them within a reasonable time now - 25 minutes so far and still waiting to speak to someone.

Very expensive machines, but they obviously don't rate their customers highly enough to provide any sort of service.
Bought a new £3000 coffee machine that lasted all of ..... 3 days .... before it kicked the bucket.  Tried for 2 hours to contact customer service, and about 3 re-connected calls. One bloke, who barely spoke english, said their customer service agents are contracted, and there is no central system. We never got anyone to respond, and got back to the seller of the appliance, who have agreed to replace without quibble. I think Miele have a major problem.

Miele must be the very worst company I've dealt with. I bought a dishwasher, which has broken down every six months since new. Over a five year period I've spent a small fortune with Miele in maintenance costs. Trading Standards advised me to contact them 'one last time' to give them a final opportunity to put the matter right before they would become involved. After weeks of negotiation, Miele agreed to replace every part on the machine (? what). Fingers crossed it'll be okay now. I fully empathise with anyone trying to contact their Service Department - horses and cowboy hats spring to mind!
We have many Miele appliances, had them for 15 years.  We bought them because of their famous reliability.  None of them have had even the smallest problem in that time.  I have friends who lived in Holland for years and when they came back to England they brought their Miele washing machine, it was in its 40th year
