Prague (Ruzyne) into town transfer options

Hi . Thanks for reading . Looking for advice on the best way to get from Ruzyne Airport into prague city . we are arriving at 20.30 so will be about 21.30 when we need to get to our hotel . (Corinthia Hotel ) Never been to Prague before and 2 adult travellers not adventurists at night in a new town . Any advise would be good . Wondering if to contact the hotel for pick up or if the taxi/transport outside the airport are both safe and easily available ,Its showing about 35kms journey . Many thanks

I've previously used Prague Airport Transfers, reasonable price and no issues.

Taxis are fine and readily available, Uber is also an option.

I love Prague it reminds me of Bath has the same sort of feeling, we've always used the above airport transport service, it's not expensive.
If you get the chance grab a sandwich and wander up to Letna park, the views are breathtaking over old town and the Bridges up the river,
Biggest tip get hold of small change you will need them if you need a bathroom everywhere even places like the burger king have a turnstile at the toilet doors.

thanks and to tori.k also the reviews on the taxis didn't sound too good but its put my mind at rest . We had a bad experience in Paris with a local taxi from the train to the hotel but other major cities have been good in the past . Ive also emailed the hotel to see what options they have . Ive stayed with the Corinthia brand hotels before and they've been helpful also .

  • Don’t, don’t, don’t take an (unbooked) taxi. You will likely be charged €50. And given a scenic tour of the outskirts of Prague. It’s a mere 6km to the city from the airport. If you are feeling adventurous, get the airport express bus (costing CZK60) to the main station, or if you are feeling really adventurous, buses 100 or 119 to the metro and then a metro from there (a 32 crown ticket will cover you). Taxis are generally a bad idea in Prague, they are constantly looking to rip you off.

Another vote for Prague Airport Transfers. Have used them several times without problems and they're reasonably priced. As landsberger64 says above, a regular taxi will likely be double the price.

We bought a 3 day travel pass at the airport then used that to travel into town and while we were there. It was useful to go up to the castle and out to the football stadium as Sparta Prague were at home.

We really like to use public transport on city breaks.

So do we or rather walk if in walking distance . as we are arriving later and dark new country etc . been offered a pick up from airport by the hotel transport for 650ckz to hotel which may take the pressure off our journey , Don't mind getting lost from the hotel the next morning once we get our bearings . sadly sparta prague is off as its the wifes birthday and I will be in Porto on valentines day :o:o:beer:

Another vote for Prague Airport Transfers. I used them without any problems a few years ago. I seem to remember we got a free walking tour of Prague included in the price as well.

I used hoppa - they were the most reasonably priced. Paid for a shared minibus but we were the only ones on arrival. At departure they picked us up in a taxi.

Only cost £25 for 2 x passengers return
