ESA Backpay ?

My appeal has been approved by HMCTS and the DWP . The DWP have also got my sick notes and my ESA has started again .

My fit notes start from the 24th November 2017 . So I have roughly 7 weeks money they owe . My question is can i be paid it now or do i not get it until my appeal has been heard ?

After you were found fit for work, what did you claim? Back pay will depend on what benefits you claimed, if any.

no other benefits while waiting for appeal to accepted . lived off savings

Then you'll have your backpay before the Tribunal hearing. A quick call to ESA tomorrow and they'll tell you when, as no one can tell you that here.

Not everyone is paid on appeal.

If you are to be paid on appeal then the quickest way is to phone and ask if your appeal has been received by DWP and if it can be paid on appeal...and if they say yes to both questions then ask for a call back from ESA to confirm this is being done for you .
