Vet charges for prescriptions

The discrimination referred to is that a vet cannot charge a different price depending on whether a patient is buying the medicine from him or getting a prescription to obtain the drug elsewhere.
It is not to do with giving one person a prescription and not another one.

Since my private practice vets was taken over by Medivet prices for medication have gone up every time. The first time that I asked for a prescription I was charged £35. + £7 for each additional item, total £49 for 3 months supply. They screw every last penny, however, the medication bought online was one third the price that they charge., £76.77 instead of £213.94. Even with the script charge it is worth it and next time a six month script which will make it even better value.0
