travel insurance for dfds trip?

does any body know if dfds require you take out travel insurance to go on one of their 2 day trips tro amersterdam? im going on sunday and would like to know if i need it. also where would be the cheapest place to get it, (its only for 3 days)thankslaura x

You don't have to have travel insurance if you don't want it.

But if you get knocked down by a tram in Amsterdam and have to be repatriated home the reciprocal health arrangement won't cover that. For the few pounds it's going to cost it's best to take out some travel insurance.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hopefully they would take you to hospital and repair you suitably enough not to need repatriation.0 -
They wouldn't, you'd be stuffed and may die, what is the benefit in risking it?
I don't recall having mentioned that there was any benefit in "risking it". In my orginal post I provided a link to the Dept of Health, this shows what is, and what is not available to a UK traveller with regards to health care in the Netherlands. I sought neither to persuade nor dissuade the original poster.0 -
