So I bank with nationwide and in Septemberi was working for a big reputable agency and was advised I would be paid on Fridays but I was paid every week on a Thursday around 2pm, I thought it was the agencies side that was faster but I've again started work for another big company and should be paid tomorrow but my funds have been available since 2pm this afternoon.. It's not a bad thing of course, I'm just intrigued to know why I get paid early when none of my colleagues do..

Perhaps the agency/company also banks with Nationwide and your payments are being processed immediately as internal transfers, while other people banking elsewhere have to wait for the payments to go through another system.0

Salary payments are normally made by BACS Direct Credit and should always arrive in the account overnight, 3 working days later.
If they’re being sent this way, you banking with the same institution shouldn’t make any difference.0 -

These aren't salary payments, although they could indeed be made by DC. I've given a possible explanation for the early payment, so what's your explanation?0
