Want to declare savings but worried

Hi,
I have savings of £1200. I had it for eight years. DWP don't know about it and I want to declare it but I'm afraid of what will happen. I get ESA and I didn't mention it on the form.
Thanks

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0

All savings should have been declared when the claim was made, but £1200 will not affect your entitlement to ESA or the amount you will get. You will not be in any trouble.0

But if I call them and tell them won't they say why did you lie and not mentioned it on the form?0

You dont need to tell them until your savings reach £6000 so dont worry about calling them.
However if you feel you have to, they won't ask about the form, they will just record that now you have £1200.
