Hi, can't seem to find an answer online. Is housing benefit calculated by your total income per month or your taxable eg at the the moment I bring home 900 after tax, but pay 70 into my pension and pay 45 into a company shares scheme. If I stopped the share scheme and take home pay went up, would I losesome of my housing benefit?

Do the housinng benefit people know you are paying into a share scheme... it is still earned income so they need to know about itmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Payments to a share scheme are not an allowable deduction for Housing Benefit purposes. Only Tax, National Insurance Contributions and 50% of any pension contribution are deducted from your gross wage.I enjoy flower arranging, kittens, devil worship, the study of serial killers and their methods and road kill jigsaws.0
