Car insurance voided

Hi there
I have had my car insurance voided because I did not disclose motoring conviction. The third party was wrong and admitted liability, but now that my insurance aws made void from inception they cannot claim on my behalf is there anything I can do. The insurance had written the car off. Is it possible to do it mayself will it cause more problems for.

Nothing to stop you pursuing your own claim against the other driver. They should treat it in a similar manner but will not deduct any excess.

For future insurance, you will need to disclose the cancellation of this policy and of course the conviction. Insurers do share data so many will see what has happened. Normally the question is "Have you ever had a motor policy cancelled or special terms applied?".
