Replacement wipers for Micra
This may (or may not) be a dumb question:
I have a 2010 Nissan Micra which needs all new wiper blades. I can't find any details on the V5 or in the manual as to what Mark the car is (Mk3, Mk4 etc.). Halfords has a choice of 3 marks, another website has 5.
The current wiper sizes are driver 450mm, passenger 450mm and rear 400mm. None of the choices, for any mark, on Halfords have a 450mm driver for a Nissan Micra. All the recommended driver blades are 525/530mm which is quite a bit bigger than 450mm!
Can anyone help me find what size blade I should have, or point me to where I might be able to find out what mark vehicle I even have?
Thanks in advance.
Jo
PS I am going in to Halfords to talk to someone, just thought one of you clever peeps might be able to answer for me before I go!

Go to wiperblades.co.uk and enter your car reg.
If you current driver side blades are not 530mm then perhaps somebody in the past has incorrectly fitted the wrong size.0 -
Many online sites you can enter your reg details and it will display the correct blades for you

2010 Micra could be one of the very last K12
Or it could be one of the first K13
The main fitment variation with wipers is length. Do you have a tape measure?
It's always as well to sanity-check before purchase - I was recently pricing a car battery. All the online fitment guides said "this size". Fortunately, I double-checked what was on the car before hitting the button - because it turned out to be a different size entirely, and the "correct" one would have slopped about in the box.0 -
The driver's side blade is usually bigger than the passenger, most likely someone has only had a spare for the passenger side and stuck that on the driver's.
Pretty much any size will work, but if you go significantly bigger than the standard (530mm you say) then there is a chance the blade will catch on the rubber screen surround.
Just stop the wipres by turning the ignition off when they are at the top, and see how much distance there is between the blade and the edge of the screen, if there is more than about 50mm, the 530 blade will fit.
I usually get my wiper blades from that well known supplier The Pound Shop, if they don't have the right size, I just buy the nearest.
No doubt someone will point out the false economy of "2 for £1", claiming a proper make lasts longer.
They do, the 99p blade I bought from Wilkos has been on for several years, if I get 2 years out of the Pound shop ones it is good going.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

It may also be an option, to save money, if the actual blade body is good, to buy rubber inserts rather than the entire blade assembly.
I do this with my Toyota Yaris (single 28" front blade and 12" rear blade) about a quarter the cost even of non "genuine" blades. A doddle to fit too.
The above assumes not using Poundland or Wilko!0 -

Wiperblades is exactly the website that gave me 5 different marks. From their data my car appeared to be a mark 5. From Halfords it appears to be a mark 3. Confused? A little.
But thank you all anyway.

You could also try https://www.eurocarparts.com but wiperblades.co.uk tend to be accurate. As mentioned I think someone in the past has put the wrong blade on the driver side and it should be the 530mm one.0

Go to halfords. You put your reg in the tablet and it will tell you or the staff will help.0
