The Great British Spring Clean

This came through on one of my feeds this morning, I'm not sure if it should be here or on the charity board, I'll leave that for a bg to decide.


"The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with a simple aim: to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches.

On the weekend of 2 - 4 March 2018, we want to inspire 500,000 people to get outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us. Join our growing army of #LitterHeroes who have had enough of other people’s litter and are willing to do something about it.

Together we can make a difference and clean up the environment on our doorstep."

I'll be helping beach clean that weekend with my kids.

Have you done one of these before? They're a total win-win. You get to help tidy up your home town/village/countryside, get exercise and fresh air, teach your kids a valuable lesson, meet other like-minded locals and make friends and get a huge sense of pride, achievement and happiness.

I have done a beach clean and a river clean before but never a street clean.

I may actually go to an area about 200 yards away and make a start cleaning up there, my own street is quite good but the other area is on a school route and gets very little attention from the council street cleaner

Hopefully other locals will see you and either join or start doing it themselves too at some point!
