I've just moved to the area so will definitely be going along to see what's there. In your opinion is it best to go first thing or later on?
Good question! Last November I went early but in May I went later and found that if you go early you're more likely to pick up the stuff that's put in the section of really, really cheap things that go quickly like I picked up le creuset untensil holder for £1. But that is a small section and I think items are brought out later in the day for the main sale that might not have been out in the morning. Plus I don't think stock levels have been an issue although this is getting more popular. There's always the chance of a price drop in the last hour just to clear more of the stock.0 -
i love my le creuset, hate the glass stuff. what suits the goose etc etc:rudolf:0

My possible exception to this rule is the Anolon Meyer range of anodised aluminium cookware which I've been putting through it's paces with good results.
I have a five piece Anolon Meyer set, bought in John Lewis sale for £99 (down from £200). It has been worth every penny!....havent need to buy anything else, its been brilliant.
Although I wish it came in Lime Green like the le creuset stuff!0 -

Exactly what I was thinking!!! Would it be sad if I went in the morning and then later on too? :rotfl:Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680 -
lol why not if you're close. Go first thing then for the last hour. I'm about an hours drive or so away and still thinking about going to the BBC Good Food show in London which is also on that day so think I can only manage to fit in the one early morning visit. Good luck anyway.0

Amazon are doing good deals on Le Creuset sets also at the moment

But if you're near Andover on 17th Nov go there for a look. It's worth it.0 -

this sale is on today folks for anyone who can get to Andover. Post your bargains so i can see what i've missed out on!0 -
Lots of kettles at £10 each (saw one woman with 5 or 6 in her trolley, so guess either she is an eBayer, or I know what all her friends will be getting for Christmas!). My wife liked a tray with 2 ramekins at £8 (although we didn't buy one).
We got a couple of crocks (for our utensils, etc) in Volcanic at £5 each. Also bought some small things (pizza cutter, garlic press, etc) at about £3 each.
We're in the process of buying a house, so want to wait until we know for certain what our kitchen will be like before buying a lot more Le Creuset, but we'll be at the next sale in 6 months time.

Amazon are still doing the special offers on Le Creuset sets. They call them gift sets but I bought a set for myself as I've wanted one of their cast iron casseroles for ages, my mum has used one for years and it's brilliant quality.
Got a 24" cast iron casserole, & 2 stoneware rectangular baking dishes, 26" & 32" (good size for a family lasagne) for £69. Not bad considering the casserole alone should normally cost about £80.0
