Help Needed PPI claim

Hi!

I’ve submitted a PPI claim against Lloyd’s bank for a mortgage taken out in 1982. I have all the paperwork for the mortgage, but the account number was left off the paperwork. Lloyd’s are saying they don’t have any record of the mortgage. Does anyone know if;
PPI was around in 1982 and therefore it’s worth pursuing?

Thanks

    Almost four decades on, I can't see you progressing this.

    PPI was not widely available in 1982, are you even sure you had it?

    More likely to have been Life & Critical Illness cover.
  • Thanks for that. I’ll leave it go.

    No not certain it would have had any PPI.

    Thanks again!
