I have been asked to find a laptop for a relative, budget in mind is £500, OS is windows, screen size as big as possible really.
Just general use like emails, word processing, nothing fancy like games.
What are the recommended brands to consider/stay clear of ?
I had considered 1 from John Lewis as you get 2 years guarantee included, any other retailers I should consider ?
Thanks

Amazon, eBuyer and of course avoid PC World/Currys
I doubt you'd get 17" screen and an SSD on the budget, so I'd drop down to 15" screen with SDD like this Lenovo V110- 80TL000RUK- 15.6" Display, Intel Core i5-6200U / 2.3 GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo) Processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Windows 10 Professional at just under £500.0 -

Dont forget if you have not used |Very befor you can get 20% of if you sign up for paying over 3 months or more but if you do make sure you do otherwise you will pay a lot more in interest. I will ad this 15.6, I5 SSD with additional HDD which comes down to about £500.
