I have told Npower where to stick it, as they consistently failed to correct the records and process the right MPAN number. ( My house has 2 mpan's. one denergised the other connected to the meter). Needless to say that despite 7 phonecalls in the last 2 months and receiving 7 contracts all with the wrong MPAN number on, they still can't get it right. I have logged a complaint online and have had no response and when I ring the 'customer services' nobody apologises they just offer excuses.

    Hi Rich,

Maybe it would be best to complain to Energywatch.

However, like I said though 2 MPAN's incorrectly against your property sits with the original Supplier so Energywatch will end up involving them in some way to resolve it if Npower cannot. Npower can only register the MPAN's, however MPAS (part of the local distributor) can reject their request.

I honestly would speak to your current Supplier about this. If they supply both MPAN's, they could disconnect one which would be the correct compliant process plus it would stop Npower doing this wrong.

I don't want to sound like I'm on Npower's side but I have seen this happen loads and the fact that there are 2 MPAN's points to a problem you may not be aware of e.g. your supply data for your meter is recorded on the wrong MPAN stopping the registration.

You may have this problem with any Supplier you go to if it's a data problem with your supply and meter.

    Hope you get it sorted.
